The Metropolitan Interclub Tennis League is an extremely popular summer program for most area clubs. The team competition is a great way to practice skills in a competitive situation under the guidance of our professional staff in a supportive team environment. The season runs from late June through the end of July (*it is not necessary to be available during the entire season). Members are eligible to participate in the season-ending MITL tournament the week of August 1st as well as the highlight of the season – the popular Awards Banquet is in early August. $100 Membership fee is required and includes all home/away matches, coaching, refreshments and club membership from June 1st – August 26th.
Match schedule is as follows (from June 27 – July 28):
9 & under (orange ball): Matches – Mon at 1pm (no official practice, but team members are encouraged to inquire about our Summer Half Day Program)
11 & under (green ball): Matches – Tues at 1pm (no official practices, but team members are encouraged to inquire about our Summer Half Day Program)
13 & under: Matches – Wed at 1pm (no official practices, but team members are encouraged to inquire about our Summer Half Day Program)
16 & under: Matches – Thurs at 1pm, Team members are invited to join our High School Training Program (Mon-Thurs, 2-4pm, either weekly or daily drop in available for team members only – $80/day)
There is no additional practice fee for team members who are enrolled in full day camp.
Many RRC teams and players have gone on to win team and individual honors at the MITL championships and been recognized for their efforts at the hugely popular Awards dinner.
